Patrick Muldoon was so great (and so hot, obviously) as the evil Richard Hart on _Melrose Place,_ and his “back from the dead” storyline with Jane and Sydney was iconic (remember that season finale when, after supposedly being killed off, his hand emerged from a grave). Before that, he was of course the original Austin Reed on _Days Of Our Lives_ back in 1992, which led to the endless love triangle between him, Carrie, and Sami. Muldoon died suddenly in Los Angeles on Sunday morning of a heart attack, and he was just 57 years old. He was 57.
