  "textContent": " \n\n\n\n\nThis was so much fun to watch, and the timing is kind of crazy, given what happened last week. People Magazine released this yesterday (Gellar is doing press to promote _Ready Or Not 2_ , which opens this week), but I presume it was filmed before that bad _Buffy_ news came out on Friday night. SMG has a lot of fun insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and really nice things to say about all of her co-stars, and the biggest revelation to me is that she was originally cast to play Cordelia. I only watched all of _Buffy_ for the first time back in 2020, and aside from a few subpar episodes that didn’t quite work, the whole series really is as good as everyone said it was.\n\nSide note: They did a great job covering almost all of her work…but I can’t believe they didn’t mention SMG as Sydney Rutledge in SWAN’S CROSSING! Only us 90’s kids will remember the short-lived teen soap, which aired weekdays for two months in the summer of 1992. I think I had crushes on all the guys in the show, and here was the theme song:",
