"textContent": "Seasons return in _Forza Horizon 6_ , and they do more than repaint the map. As each season rolls in, the look of the world and the feel of the roads change, and fresh events and challenges open up that pay out cars, cosmetics, and credits. The catch is that the season you see while driving around is set for everyone on a shared cycle, so there is no single button that flips the world from summer to winter on the spot.\n\n🏁\n\nQuick answer: You cannot force a season change in free-roam. The world season rotates weekly. To play a specific season whenever you want, build a custom Route or Event in the Creative Hub and set the season, weather, and time of day, then lock time progression to Fixed.\n\n* * *\n\n### How seasons work in Forza Horizon 6\n\nEach season brings visual and terrain changes across the map set in Japan. The geography stays the same, but the surface and scenery shift enough that a road you know well can feel different once a new season starts. Spring and summer give you drier, grippier driving; autumn changes the color of the world; and winter brings snow and ice.\n\nWinter is the season that changes how you drive the most. Snow and ice cut your grip and force you to slow down, especially on fast mountain roads where a small mistake sends you off the edge. That reduced traction is the main reason some players want to leave winter early instead of waiting out the week.\n\nBeyond looks, seasons drive the live content. Seasonal events and challenges rotate with the calendar and hand out exclusive cars, cosmetic items, and credits, so the season you are in also decides what you can chase that week.\n\n* * *\n\n### Why you can't switch seasons instantly in free-roam\n\nWhile you are free-roaming or running story races, there is no setting that swaps the season on demand. The world season is shared and moves on a weekly schedule, the same approach that started in _Forza Horizon 4_. Everyone driving in the open world sees the same season at the same time, which is why the toggle you might be looking for is not there.\n\nThe workaround lives in the game's creation tools. By building your own route or event, you choose the exact conditions for that activity, including the season, and those conditions ignore the weekly cycle.\n\n* * *\n\n### Change seasons using a custom route or event in the Creative Hub\n\nThe Creative Hub is where you control season, weather, and time for a single activity. It is split into a few areas. Estates handles your properties, Garage Layouts covers how your cars are arranged, Livery Designs holds car paint jobs, and My Creative Hub is where you create and manage your own routes, events, and challenges.\n\n**Step 1:** Open the pause menu and go into the Creative Hub. Move over to My Creative Hub, since that is the only area that lets you build an activity with custom conditions.\n\nMy Creative Hub, where you create your own activities.\n\n**Step 2:** Pick the type of activity you want to create. You can choose a Route, an Event, a Challenge, or a CoLab, and each one lets you control the conditions for that drive.\n\nRoute option.\n\n**Step 3:** Open the condition settings for your new activity. This is the screen where you decide the season the drive takes place in, along with the weather and the time of day.\n\n* * *\n\n### Set the season, weather, and time of day, then start the race\n\n**Step 1:** Choose your preferred season from the condition options. Whatever you pick here is what the activity will load with, no matter which season the open world is running that week.\n\n**Step 2:** Set the weather and the time of day to match what you want. Then change time progression to Fixed so the conditions stay locked for the whole drive.\n\nSet your season, weather, and time of day, lock time progression to Fixed, then validate and start.\n\n**Step 3:** Validate the activity, then start the race. When the drive loads with the snow, leaves, or clear skies you selected, and the time of day does not move, the season change has taken effect.\n\n⚠️\n\nIf the weather or time keeps shifting mid-race, your time progression is set to Dynamic instead of Fixed. Go back into the condition settings and switch it to Fixed. Remember that this only changes the season inside your custom activity. The open world will still follow the weekly season cycle.\n\nUntil the global season lands on the one you want, the Creative Hub is the reliable way to drive in any season on your own terms. Build the route or event once, lock the conditions to Fixed, and you can return to your chosen season whenever you like.",
