Build a Ring Farm Pets Ranked - Best Companions for Your Farm (June 2026)
Pets are the fastest way to turn a basic plot in Build a Ring Farm into a real money machine. Each one carries an earnings multiplier plus a single passive that either grows crops faster, upgrades mutations, or feeds your other pets. You only have a limited number of equip slots, so the pets you choose matter far more than how many you own.
⚡
Quick answer: The T-Rex (12x earnings, guaranteed mutation upgrade) and Starfall Griffin (11x earnings, exclusive Starfall mutation) are the two strongest pets. Equip either as the core of your team and build around mutation support.
The rankings below use earnings multipliers measured at Pet level 1, alongside each pet's passive ability and how reliable it is. Mutation pets generally beat pure growth pets for long-term income, since raising crop value scales harder than speeding up harvests.
Build a Ring Farm pets tier list (S to D)
Here is the full ranking at a quick reference before the breakdowns.
| Tier | Pets |
|---|---|
| S | T-Rex, Starfall Griffin |
| A | Kitsune, Hydra, Velociraptor |
| B | Polar Bear, Spinosaurus, Gallimimus, Mammoth |
| C | Lion, Crocodile, Triceratops, Gorilla |
| D | Elephant, Llama, Golden Retriever, Capybara |
S-tier pets
These two sit at the top because their passives keep paying off from early game to endgame. Both are extremely hard to obtain, but either one is worth reshaping your farm strategy around.
| Pet (Rarity) | Benefits | Ranking reasons |
|---|---|---|
| T-Rex (Divine) | 12x earnings. Upgrades a plant's mutation every 5 minutes. | Best multiplier in the game with a guaranteed mutation upgrade. Downside is the very low drop rate. |
| Starfall Griffin (Divine) | 11x earnings. 15% chance to apply the Starfall mutation every 5 minutes. | Huge multiplier plus an exclusive mutation no other pet can apply. The passive is RNG-based. |
A-tier pets
Strong enough to carry most players through mid and late game. They trade a bit of consistency for still-excellent mutation and time-skip value, and most people will run them happily for a long stretch.
| Pet (Rarity) | Benefits | Ranking reasons |
|---|---|---|
| Kitsune (Prismatic) | 6x earnings. 16% chance to upgrade a plant's mutation every 5 minutes. | Reliable mutation growth that scales well. Effect is chance-based. |
| Hydra (Secret) | 8x earnings. 14% chance to upgrade a plant's mutation every 10 minutes. | High multiplier with valuable mutation upgrades. Held back by a long cooldown. |
| Velociraptor (Prismatic) | 8.5x earnings. Grants a 5-minute time skip every 10 minutes. | Excellent growth acceleration and a big multiplier. No direct mutation or fertilizer bonus. |
B-tier pets
A solid mix of earnings and utility. They lack the game-changing power above them, but they still deliver real results if your top-tier slots are empty.
| Pet (Rarity) | Benefits | Ranking reasons |
|---|---|---|
| Polar Bear (Epic) | 3.76x earnings. 20% chance to fully grow a random plant every 2 minutes. | Frequent growth boosts and good consistency, but lower earning power. |
| Spinosaurus (Secret) | 6.5x earnings. Applies a Strong Pet Treat every 5 minutes. | Strong support effect and a high multiplier. No mutation support. |
| Gallimimus (Legendary) | 3.5x earnings. 25% chance to fully grow a random plant every 2 minutes. | Highest growth chance among grower pets. Multiplier trails its peers. |
| Mammoth (Legendary) | 5.52x earnings. 10% chance to upgrade a plant's mutation every 10 minutes. | Good multiplier with a useful mutation effect. Low activation rate. |
C-tier pets
Decent contributors for the early stages. They can hold a slot while you hunt for better options, but plan to replace them.
| Pet (Rarity) | Benefits | Ranking reasons |
|---|---|---|
| Lion (Epic) | 3.18x earnings. 10% chance to apply Super Fertilizer every 5 minutes. | Helpful fertilizer effect and a decent multiplier. Low trigger rate. |
| Crocodile (Rare) | 2.33x earnings. 10% chance to fully grow a random plant every minute. | Frequent activations make it useful early. Weak growth chance per trigger. |
| Triceratops (Secret) | 5.2x earnings. Applies a Normal Pet Treat every 3 minutes. | Strong multiplier and steady pet support. Normal treats are weaker than Strong ones. |
| Gorilla (Rare) | 2.28x earnings. Applies a Strong Fertilizer every 15 minutes. | Guaranteed fertilizer, but the cooldown is very long. |
D-tier pets
These are stepping stones. Their bonuses rarely move your income in a meaningful way, so swap them out as soon as a higher tier pet is available.
| Pet (Rarity) | Benefits | Ranking reasons |
|---|---|---|
| Elephant (Uncommon) | 1.46x earnings. Boosts crop yield by 1.2x. | Permanent yield boost that is easy to get. Weak overall impact. |
| Llama (Uncommon) | 1.36x earnings. Boosts sprinkler power by 1.2x. | Useful with sprinkler setups only. Situational effect. |
| Golden Retriever (Common) | 1.16x earnings. Applies Normal Fertilizer every 15 minutes. | Free fertilizer, but a weak bonus on a long cooldown. |
| Capybara (Common) | 1.18x earnings. Boosts seed luck by 1.1x. | Helps find better seeds, with no direct profit increase. |
How to get pets in Build a Ring Farm
Pets come from hatching Eggs at the Egg shop on the right side of the map. Buy an Egg, place it in an Egg slot, and open it to roll a random pet from that Egg's pool. Buying extra Egg slots lets you open several at once.
A basic Common Egg costs around 25 million cash, and higher-rarity Eggs cost more. You can also buy specific Eggs with Robux from the in-game shop when they are on offer. The rarest pets, including Secret, Prismatic, and Divine companions, usually appear as limited shop purchases rather than common drops.

Which pet should you chase first
If you are early in the game, target Polar Bear, Lion, or Mammoth. They are easier to obtain than the top end and provide growth, fertilizer, and mutation help that speeds up your progress without burning huge amounts of cash on premium Eggs.
For long-term income, prioritize mutation pets. T-Rex, Kitsune, and Hydra raise crop value over time, which compounds far better than growth-only effects. Build your core around one of those, then fill the remaining slots with whatever offers the next-highest multiplier or a useful support treat. The game currently includes 17 pets in total, so a deep roster gives you flexibility to swap effects depending on what your farm needs.
