"textContent": "**Update:** We found 13 new Pokémon Legends: Z-A Trade codes on May 26, 2026 and added them to the list.\n\nTrade codes in Pokémon Legends: Z-A let you match with another player using the same Link Trade code so both of you can exchange the same species and trigger its trade evolution. For item-based evolutions, the Pokémon must be holding the required item before the trade is confirmed.\n\n* * *\n\n### Pokémon Legends: Z-A trade codes\n\n * `0066 0066` **NEW** — Trade Haunter to get Gengar\n * `0063 0063` **NEW** — Trade Kadabra to get Alakazam\n * `0126 0126` **NEW** — Trade Machoke to get Machamp\n * `0197 0197` **NEW** — Trade Onix holding Metal Coat to get Steelix\n * `0182 0182` **NEW** — Trade Phantump to get Trevenant\n * `0204 0204` **NEW** — Trade Pumpkaboo to get Gourgeist\n * `0176 0176` **NEW** — Trade Scyther holding Metal Coat to get Scizor\n * `0137 0137` **NEW** — Trade Slowpoke holding King's Rock to get Slowking\n * `0096 0096` **NEW** — Trade Spritzee holding Sachet to get Aromatisse\n * `0098 0098` **NEW** — Trade Swirlix holding Whipped Dream to get Slurpuff\n * `0011 0011` **NEW** — Trade Porygon holding Upgrade to get Porygon2\n * `0012 0012` **NEW** — Trade Porygon2 holding Dubious Disk to get Porygon-Z\n * `0048 0048` **NEW** — Trade Feebas holding Prism Scale to get Milotic\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n### Required items for trade evolutions\n\nPokémon | Evolution | Required item\n---|---|---\nHaunter | Gengar | None\nKadabra | Alakazam | None\nMachoke | Machamp | None\nOnix | Steelix | Metal Coat\nPhantump | Trevenant | None\nPumpkaboo | Gourgeist | None\nScyther | Scizor | Metal Coat\nSlowpoke | Slowking | King's Rock\nSpritzee | Aromatisse | Sachet\nSwirlix | Slurpuff | Whipped Dream\nPorygon | Porygon2 | Upgrade\nPorygon2 | Porygon-Z | Dubious Disk\nFeebas | Milotic | Prism Scale\n\n* * *\n\n### How to use trade codes in Pokémon Legends: Z-A\n\n**Step 1:** Open the main menu and go to `Link Play`. From there, choose `Link Trade`.\n\n**Step 2:** Select `Faraway Players`. The game will connect online and prompt you to enter an eight-digit code.\n\n**Step 3:** Enter the code that matches the Pokémon you want to evolve. If that evolution needs a held item, make sure your Pokémon is already holding it before you continue.\n\n**Step 4:** Wait for a partner using the same code. When the trade window opens, check that the other player is offering the matching Pokémon and, where needed, the correct held item.\n\n**Step 5:** Confirm the trade. You will keep the Pokémon you receive, and the evolution triggers immediately after the trade if all conditions are met.\n\n* * *\n\n### What counts as a successful trade\n\nThe trade worked if you receive the matching Pokémon and it evolves as soon as the exchange finishes. In practice, that means Haunter becomes Gengar, Kadabra becomes Alakazam, and item-based trades like Scyther or Onix only evolve when the required held item is present during the trade.\n\n* * *\n\nNintendo Switch Online is required for Link Trade with Faraway Players. If you are trading a Pokémon you want to keep for personal reasons, remember that these code trades usually end with you keeping the other player’s evolved Pokémon rather than getting your original one back.",
