LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Red Bricks Locations
Red Bricks in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are modifier collectibles that unlock alternate color palettes for suits and outfits. There are eight to find across story missions and Bat-Mite's shop, and each one is tied to a specific puzzle, hidden room, or purchase.
🧱
Quick answer: There are 8 Red Bricks total. Six are mission-locked (Infiltration, New Beginnings, Carmine Falcone, The Red Hood Gang, Shreck's Department Store, The Penguin), and two rotate through Bat-Mite's shop (15,000 and 50,000 studs).

All Red Brick locations
Each Red Brick has a fixed source. Mission bricks can be collected on the first playthrough or revisited in Free Play. The two shop bricks appear randomly in Bat-Mite's rotating inventory.
| Red Brick | Mission / Source | How to unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Ninja | Infiltration | Solve the puzzle beneath the temple during the prologue mission. |
| Nautical | New Beginnings | Enter the crane control room at the Docks. Climb the building near the back-left of the final outdoor area and drop into the rooftop vent. |
| Filthy Rich | Carmine Falcone (Iceberg Lounge) | Open the vault in the side room using code 596. |
| Toxic Waste | The Red Hood Gang | Inside Ace Chemicals, use Jim Gordon's gun ability on the tube in the vent room three times to dislodge the brick. |
| Feline | Shreck's Department Store | Finish the cat mini-game by guiding the green cat icon to the red marker. |
| Gothic | The Penguin | Solve the Arctic World puzzle during the mission. |
| Construction | Bat-Mite's Shop | Random spawn. Purchase for 15,000 studs. |
| Beauty | Bat-Mite's Shop | Random spawn. Purchase for 50,000 studs. |
Iceberg Lounge vault code (Filthy Rich)
The vault sits behind bars in a side room off the main Iceberg Lounge area, reached once Arnold Flass reappears and Selina Kyle is serving drinks. The middle digit on the dial is permanently locked at 9; only the first and third digits can be changed.
Step 1: Break the items behind Selina Kyle at the bar. A small paper LEGO piece appears showing "59X".
Step 2: Return to the vault room and smash the green couch directly behind the vault. A second paper piece reveals "X96".
Step 3: Approach the vault dial. Push the left stick left to set the first digit to 5, then push right to set the third digit to 6. The middle 9 stays fixed. The vault opens at 596.

You can skip both notes and enter 596 directly. The code does not change between playthroughs.

Mission Red Bricks worth flagging
A few of the mission bricks are easy to walk past if you're focused on the main objective.
Nautical (New Beginnings): In the final outdoor area where you build something to reach Detective Flass, look at the left side for a low building you can climb. There's an open vent on the roof leading into a small room containing the brick.
Toxic Waste (The Red Hood Gang): Deep in Ace Chemicals, after the corridor overlooking enemies partying below, turn right into an open vent. The room contains a tube you must hit three times with Gordon's pistol to eject the brick.
Filthy Rich (Carmine Falcone): The room is locked behind bars in the Iceberg Lounge. Use code 596 on the vault.
Gothic (The Penguin) and Ninja (Infiltration): Both are tied to environmental puzzles you cannot miss if you complete the optional room or temple chamber during the mission.

How to apply Red Bricks
Red Bricks function as cosmetic modifiers rather than gameplay multipliers. They unlock new color variants for suits across the roster.
Step 1: Open the character menu and select the character you want to customize.
Step 2: Choose Suit Options, then pick the specific suit you want to modify.
Step 3: Select Red Brick Options and apply the variant you want. The suit will update immediately in the preview.

Bat-Mite's shop bricks
Construction and Beauty are the only two bricks not tied to a specific level. Both rotate through Bat-Mite's stock at random, so check his shop whenever you return to the Batcave. Construction costs 15,000 studs; Beauty costs 50,000 studs. If neither is listed, leave and re-enter to refresh the inventory.
With all eight collected, every suit in the roster gains the full set of color palette options, which is the final piece of the cosmetic customization system alongside the suit unlocks themselves.
