Every Achievement in Where Winds Meet and How to Unlock Them
Where Winds Meet doesn't just hand you platform trophies and call it a day. NetEase's open-world martial arts RPG has its own sprawling internal achievement system — 388 achievements spread across 17 categories — and completing them actually pays out. Most reward Echo Jade, a currency you can spend at Weiyang merchants or funnel into the Solemn Echo gacha for cosmetic appearances. Some achievements grant unique Hero Titles, cosmetic outfits, face ornaments, hairstyles, decorations, and toys directly.
Quick answer: Achievements are found inside your profile menu, not the main game menu. Open the side panel, tap your avatar picture at the top, press R1 twice (on PlayStation) to reach the achievements tab, then scroll down and select "All Achievements" to see every category and claim pending rewards.

How Achievement Rewards Work
When you fulfill an achievement's conditions, a pop-up appears mid-screen for a few seconds. Holding the options button (PlayStation) or the equivalent key on PC immediately opens the achievements panel so you can claim the reward. If you miss the prompt, you can always collect manually through the profile menu described above. Look for red dots next to any achievement category — those indicate unclaimed rewards waiting for you.
Rewards fall into three tiers. The most common is Echo Jade, typically awarded in amounts of 5, 8, 10, or 20. Rarer achievements unlock cosmetic items like the "Unknown to All: Messy Hair" hairstyle (for accumulating 40 hours of jail time) or the Cosmetic Face Ornament: Iron Mask (for completing all encounters in Jade Grove Garden). A handful of achievements grant Hero Titles that display next to your name.
Note that platform-level trophies (Steam achievements, PS5 trophies, Epic Games Store achievements) are a separate, much smaller set. Some of these have slightly different names or unlock conditions depending on platform. For example, "Broken Spear Victory" on Steam requires clearing Campaign: Heavenfall, while on PS5 and Epic it requires defeating the Nameless General. For the average enhancement achievement, you need to level all four gear slots evenly rather than pushing a single piece. Salvage spare gear for materials. For martial arts leveling, your main style will naturally reach 30 through normal play — EXP comes from combat, scroll drops, and Mystique Trials. Training Items for manual upgrades drop from enemies, and the level cap on any martial art matches your character level.
Purple (Epic) equipment can be tuned up to three levels, while gold equipment goes up to five. When you tune a piece, a white dot indicator appears on it.

Campaign Achievements
Campaign achievements unlock by clearing the game's main dungeon storylines. Each campaign also has "Exhilaration" speed-kill achievements that require defeating the final boss within a time limit, plus Hard and Abyss difficulty clears.

The Still Shore campaign starts behind Everclear Clinic in Qinghe — descend into the well, use fire arrows to light braziers along the underground path, push through the stone door, play the flute to open the next chamber, then exit near Heart Lake and climb Minitour Mountain. The boss Heartseeker wields a scythe and hits hard, so lean on parries and dodges. When Heartseeker moves to the arena center and gathers energy, hide behind nearby headstones immediately. The Infernal Twinblades are particularly effective here.
For the timed "Exhilaration" achievements, bosses in Qinghe campaigns generally need to die within 60 seconds, while Kaifeng bosses like Tian Ying (Buddha's Light Summit), Rong Yuan (Jinming Pool), and Zheng E (Ever-Normal Granary) have a 180-second window. The tutorial boss from Gleaming Pond — the Formless — becomes replayable later in the Gleaming Abyss campaign, so don't worry if you missed the speed kill on your first encounter.

Easy Achievements You Can Grab Right Now
Several achievements are quick wins that many players overlook due to vague or poorly translated descriptions.

Palm Descending From Heaven: Kill 10 monsters using a downward strike after jumping. On PC, jump and use heavy attack. Enable the map filter for boars to find easy targets in the open world.
Just Giving It A Try… requires you to blow up an explosive barrel and kill yourself with it. Walk up to any red barrel, detonate it, and stand in the blast radius. Echo Jade x5.
Take a Seat Here simply asks you to sit on a bench. Find any bench in the Jianghu, interact with it, and collect your Echo Jade.
Buddha-Blessed Goose (Goose Slayer) is a fan favorite. Travel to the river near the bridge in Qinghe, where geese gather and find the sick goose healing icon. Start the treatment, but intentionally skip every healing cycle without curing it. After the 10th round fails, the goose turns demonic and starts attacking everything nearby. Use the Tai Chi ability to throw it into deep water for an instant kill. This unlocks the achievement and some Echo Jade.
I'm Done Being Human! requires transforming into a Shiba Inu. Northwest of the Blissful Retreat, after completing the main story quests for that area, find a small town with dogs. Drink the water that says "do not drink." You'll transform into a dog temporarily. While in dog form, walk upstairs to play a card game with other dogs for an additional achievement (Love Across Species).

The Qinghe Seeker of Melodies achievement (a Steam-exclusive achievement) requires completing 150 peculiar challenges in the Qinghe area — essentially the same as the Oddities tracker.
Social, PvP, and Multiplayer Achievements
A significant chunk of achievements require interaction with other players. Hero Bonds, Sworn Brotherhoods, Discipleships, Sumo wrestling, Guild Battles, Arena ranks, and the Scholars' Hearth quiz game all have dedicated achievement tracks. The Arena achievements scale from "Effortless" rank all the way up to "Transcendent," each unlocking progressively more Echo Jade.
Two jail-related achievements stand out for their commitment requirements. "Doing Time, Looking Fine" needs 40 cumulative hours of jail time and rewards the Cosmetic Hairstyle: Messy Hair. "Tears Behind Bars" demands 160 hours and grants the Convict's Garb outfit. You accumulate jail time by committing crimes — theft, brawling, assault, vandalism, false accusations, and extortion each have their own prison diary achievements as well.

The Platinum Equivalent
Where Winds Meet has a meta-achievement called "The Hero is the Voice of the World" that triggers when all other achievements are unlocked. The description reads: "With heroic compassion, we've journeyed thousands of miles together." The achievement list continues to grow with game updates — 10 new achievements were added in a recent patch — so full completion is a moving target.
