The Oil Lamp (sometimes labeled simply as \"Lamp\" in menus) serves as your portable torch, but it burns through fuel and eventually goes dark. Inside, you'll find two chests — one of them contains a guaranteed Oil Lamp. This is the same location where the Fast Travel Bell can be found, so it's worth visiting early regardless.\n\n* * *\n\n### Farming Animal Fat From Boars and Sows\n\nAnimal Fat is the only fuel the Oil Lamp accepts, and it drops from pig-type wildlife on the starting island. Draining it close to empty gives you the most light per unit of fat.
