Skeleton of massive blue whale expected to make final migration to Hatfield Marine Science Center in May

Eleven years after it washed ashore in southern Oregon, the skeleton of a massive blue whale is being put back together in Canada in preparation for one final migration to Oregon. If all goes as planned, the skeleton will be fully reassembled in May outside the Hatfield Marine Science Center, completing a journey from surf to scientific centerpiece.
