Waldport councilors stress need to get massive gym repaired and open during yearly goal setting

An attempt at getting the Waldport city council to brainstorm goals for 2026-27 turned mostly into an update on city projects during its meeting Thursday evening. But what came across was that some councilors want to see at least a partial reopening of the large gymnasium the city purchased three years for $475,000 and has sat closed since.
