Yachats Fire board dismisses Petrick as administrator, chief effective Feb. 28 seeking “new direction in leadership”

The Yachats Rural Fire Protection District board voted unanimously Monday to fire its longtime volunteer chief and paid administrator Frankie Petrick. The decision had been in the works for much of last year and Petrick's last day will be Feb. 28.
