Nobel Square in Cape Town, South Africa

In the middle of the V&A Waterfront, a section of Cape Town known for its shopping and restaurants, are the statues of four men who contributed to the end of Apartheid in South Africa: Albert Luthuli, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, F. W. de Klerk, and Nelson Madela. It's a sobering reminder of how recent Apartheid was in effect--and it makes one slow down to appreciate them, in the midst of all the activity in the area.
