This oddly formed sandstone pillar is located in the park next to Konin's oldest church, St. Bartholomew. The Latin inscription says it was erected in 1151 at the halfway point between Kalisz and Kruszwica. Some scholars think that it's actually a much older pagan symbol which was "Christianized" with the inscription.
