"textContent": "Four outer walls remain of this beautiful church which has lost its roof and been taken over by nature.\nPart of the structure dates back to 1086 and was one of two local churches registered in the Domesday Book. Over time it was too costly to maintain both churches and this one was decaying and at risk of falling.\n\nIn 1947, vibrations from a low-flying aircraft caused the tower to collapse. The church fell into further disrepair after this.",
