oh jeez, this new Tumblr change is wild. the rumor mill says that this is to prepare for another monetization gambit ALA Tumblr Live, but this is even more intrusive. worst part is, they seem to be changing how posts are stored in the database. i don’t know if they added a new column for “reblog root” or they changed how things are stored. if it’s the latter, then there’s really no way to go back :/
