Client portal for creatives: far more than a photo gallery
Sharing files with a client is often where things get messy: back-and-forth emails, blurry screenshots, expired WeTransfer links, unreadable file names.
A client portal solves this at the root. It's a private, secure space where a creative shares, gets approval on, and delivers their projects to each client — whereas a plain gallery stops at file sharing. At Granit, this portal is backed by a built-in CRM, not just another shared gallery.
Client gallery or client portal: what's the difference?
A client gallery displays images behind a link or a password. Good for showing work, limited for working.
A client portal goes further: each client gets their own private space, tied to their history, their projects and an approval workflow. You always know who saw what, when, and where each delivery stands.
At Granit, every client or contact has their own space on your subdomain, connected to a complete client directory: contact details, notes, conversation history and linked projects.
Delivery or approval: you choose the workflow
No two projects are alike. So Granit offers two sharing logics:
- Direct delivery : the client accesses the authorized files and downloads them in high resolution, with automatic ZIP delivery.
- Proofing (approval) : the client browses the media, flags favorites, submits their selection — and you approve before the final delivery.
A wide range of options lets you fine-tune each step: what the client can see, select, download, and at which resolution. Automatic email notifications follow the whole cycle: activation, selection, review, approval.
Built for every creative, not only photographers
This is the biggest difference with existing solutions. Classic client galleries — Pixieset, Pic-Time and the like — were built for wedding and event photographers, and stop there.
Granit works for every kind of creative work : photography, but also graphic design, illustration, art direction, motion design, architecture, fashion. And films are supported : a videographer or director can share, get approval on, and deliver video projects in the same workflow as images.
Your data stays in Europe
The Granit portal is hosted in Paris, on a 100% European infrastructure, with no data transfer outside the EU. For your clients and your work alike, that's a guarantee American galleries (hosted in the US or Canada, subject to the Cloud Act) simply can't offer.
Coming this fall: Moodboards
The portal currently covers selection and delivery. This fall, it will extend upstream with Moodboards : creatives will be able to build and share inspiration boards with their clients to frame intentions, validate an artistic direction and involve the client from the earliest phases — well before production.
From the first creative intention to the delivery of the final files, Granit becomes the single space where a creative's entire client relationship plays out.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a client gallery and a client portal?
A gallery is for showing images behind a shared link. A client portal is a private, per-client space that combines sharing, selection, approval, delivery and relationship tracking. Granit offers a portal, not a gallery.
Does Granit's client portal work for videographers?
Yes. Video files are supported in the same workflow as images: sharing, proofing and delivery.
What is photo proofing?
Proofing is the step where the client browses the media, selects their favorites and submits their choice for approval before the final high-resolution delivery.
Is the data hosted in Europe?
Yes. Hosting is in Paris, the infrastructure is European, and no data leaves the EU.
How can I try Granit?
Granit offers a 14-day free trial, no commitment.
