Along the way to fend of an invasion of malevolent lovecraftian entities, the party finds and befriends a small, cute, unidentified creature. It isn’t later that it turns out to be more important to their quest: their new critter friend is actually the natural predator of the eldritch beings back in their home dimension, and proves to be a valuable asset to their mission.
