Lycra in the gym

I have been trying to push myself more out my comfort zone lately, and part of that is how I present myself. I had been feeling a dissatisfaction of late with how I was dressing at the gym. Grey sweatpants and old tee shirts. I wanted to feel better about myself. Feel more showy. This has been helped by my big bro's New Year's resolution to wear Lycra every day. (You can find his Bluesky documenting this here) So I have invested in a nice pair of jade green leggings to wear to the gym. I have to admit, I was very nervous. I'm not sure why, as I know other guys wear leggings around the gym. I guess It's just not a space I feel comfortable being openly queer. I really wish I had a gay friendly gym close by.
