Let’s start a mass movement, a digital transition. By observing the contempt that the web giants have for the laws and cultural needs of Quebec, Canada and other nations of the world. I wonder why we continue to use their tools. Facebook, Instagram, X and Amazon do not want to respect sovereign laws and refuse to pay trade taxes in our countries. Facebook and Instagram go so far as to block content from real news; Canadian media are systematically blocked. So, I'm saying that we are withdrawing en masse from these platforms? There are alternatives; I'm on Bluesky, for example. I know it's not that simple, Facebook and Instagram all have our families, friends, colleagues and acquaintances. But if we work together, we can rebuild the links and continue to use the internet tools to stay connected. Bluesky is a safer platform that does not tolerate illegal behavior, fraud and phishing. Let's see what Zuckeberg will do after a few million users say bye bye. For Amazon, often, the goods you are looking for are available at a Canadian merchant and it has a comparable price; it is a question of making an extra effort. Let's raise our elbows in line too.
