"textContent": "I'm beginning to think my loungeroom is set up all wrong.\n\nI have a 65-inch TV wall mounted on the short side of my rectangular loungeroom. You walk in the front door, and the TV is there, mounted for all to see. A Sonos Beam sits below it, with some old Sonos One speakers pulling surround duty. It's served me quite well.\n\nBut watching the World Cup this week, I've really struggled with the distance my lounge sits from the TV. That was made worse when I had the opportunity to check out Samsung's new flagship S95H OLED to watch the New Zealand vs Iran match. While it was still a 65-inch TV, I sat much closer, and the experience was much more immersive.\n\nOf course, that could also just be comparing a brand new OLED with a 10+ year old LCD panel...\n\nI'm certain now that I want to get a bigger TV (EOFY sales might be a good time, just saying), but I'm also wondering if it would work to mount the TV on the side hallway wall, pivoting my entire setup 90 degrees so we all sit closer to the TV.\n\nWhat do you think? I've probably missed my chance to do this for the World Cup, but generally speaking, is this idea even worth consideration?\n\nUntil next week\n\nNick @ BTTR\n\n__BTTR is a labour of love, and is only possible thanks to the support of subscribers.
