"textContent": "I've been reviewing the DJI OSMO Pocket 4 for a few weeks, and I'm a big fan. But Insta360's latest gimbal camera could have an edge on DJI's model thanks to its dual-lens design and Leica lenses. At the very least, DJI has some hot competition.\n\nThe Luna Ultra is Insta360's first gimbal camera, and it comes loaded.\n\nThe primary imaging system pairs a 1-inch 8K sensor with a Leica Summicron lens, capable of 8K30fps video with Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log, and 14 stops of dynamic range.\n\nWhile that main lens is epic on its own, it's joined by a secondary 1/1.3-inch sensor with an F2.0 aperture across five focal lengths, enabling natural bokeh and up to 12x zoom, including 6x lossless.\n\nFor video, the Luna Ultra covers 8K30fps with Dolby Vision and 10-bit I-Log for flexible colour grading.\n\nStill shooters get 37MP UltraPhotos and a 200MP Scenic Panorama mode. Low-light performance is handled by PureVideo Mode, which Insta360 says reduces noise and improves detail up to 4K60fps.\n\nThe Leica partnership, now six years deep across five co-developed products, brings more than lens branding.\n\nLuna Ultra includes Leica colour profiles (Natural, Vivid, and Chrome), ACES support for professional colour workflows, and built-in timecode for multi-camera sync with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.\n\nWhile the twin lens setup is unique enough, Insta360 has doubled down by adding a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen, which enables remote monitoring and control from up to 20 metres.\n\nIt makes solo shooting at unusual angles far more practical than any fixed-screen competitor.\n\nThe body weighs just over 200g and the 1550mAh battery is rated for up to four hours of use, with fast charging to 80% in around 23 minutes. Built-in storage sits at 47GB, with microSD support for up to 1TB.\n\n> _Insta360 co-founder and VP of Marketing Max Richter described the camera as a reset for the category: \"Luna reflects our vision for the future of gimbal imaging, built to help people capture what matters with greater ease, confidence, and authenticity.\"_\n\nSpec| Detail\n---|---\nMain sensor| 1\" (8K)\nMain lens| Leica Summicron\nSecondary sensor| 1/1.3\"\nSecondary lens aperture| F2.0\nFocal lengths| 5 (up to 12x zoom, 6x lossless)\nMax video resolution| 8K30fps (Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log)\nDynamic range| 14 stops\nMax photo resolution| 37MP (UltraPhoto) / 200MP (Scenic Panorama)\nStabilisation| 3-axis + EIS\nTracking| Deep Track 5.0\nDisplay| Detachable 2\" OLED touchscreen (20m range)\nWeight| ~200g\nBattery| 1550mAh, ~4 hours, 80% in ~23 mins\nStorage| 47GB built-in, up to 1TB via microSD\nColours| Cosmic Black, Stellar White\n\n## Pricing and availability\n\nThe Insta360 Luna Ultra is available now in Australia, priced at $1,229.99.\n\nIt comes in Cosmic Black and Stellar White, and can be purchased through the Insta360 Store, Amazon, JB Hi-Fi, and selected retailers.\n\n* * *\n\n### Latest camera accessory deals",
