Ecovacs is bringing one of its best-value robot vacs back to ALDI

Long time readers will remember that my first robot vacuum was the Ecovacs Deebot N8, and it was a brilliant welcome to the world of robotic cleaning. Not because it was the best robot vacuum, but because it was cheap.

Ecovacs is delivering that same promise from June 20 with the Deebot Neo 2.0 Plus, launching at ALDI as a special buy for just $399.

For that price, you're getting a robot vacuum and mop combo with 5,000 Pa suction, 180 minutes of runtime from a 5,200mAh battery, and, most importantly, an Auto-Empty Station included in the box.

That's the part that makes a robot vac a hands-free cleaning assistant: the station empties the dustbin in 12 seconds with 96% efficiency, and the 5L dust bag only needs replacing every 150 days or so.

Navigation is handled by Ecovacs' Smart Navi 3.0 LDS laser system, which maps your home in real time and can store layouts for multiple floors. It'll also auto-detect carpets during mopping, switching to vacuum-only mode to avoid soaking them.

The companion ECOVACS Home app gives you room-by-room control, custom suction levels and water flow settings per room, virtual boundaries, and scheduling. Google Home and Amazon Echo are both supported if you'd rather use voice commands.
