  "textContent": "The first generation of the Narwal Flow is still probably the best robot vacuum I've reviewed. It did a really solid job of both vacuuming and mopping, and its sequel looks to increase the performance with an all new industrial design.\n\nNarwal has announced the Flow 2, its 2026 flagship robot vacuum and mop, and it's coming to Australia from 25th June. It comes with a redesigned exterior, a significantly hotter mopping system, more suction power and a new AI battery management system called NavoPower.\n\nWhere the original Flow's design was functional, the Flow 2 goes for a more premium look with a glass front panel, a Status Light Bar and what Narwal calls a \"Rational Arc Design\".\n\nIt also introduces an Easy-Lift Tank Design to make maintenance easier. The company is clearly going after homes where how the robot looks on the floor matters as much as what it does to it.\n\nThe mopping system has been given some big updates. FlowWash now runs at 60°C during cleaning and can self-clean the mop pad with water heated up to 100°C.\n\nCombined with 12N of downward pressure and a 26.6cm wide track mop, Narwal claims seven times the cleaning efficiency of conventional round-mop designs.\n\nSuction has jumped to 31,000Pa, up from the 22,000Pa of the original Narwal Flow, putting it among the more powerful units available right now.\n\nThe new NavoPower battery system is interesting. The 7,000mAh / 99Wh pack is rated for approximately 250 square metres per charge and 800-plus charge cycles, with an AI layer that learns your cleaning habits to protect long-term battery health. Wide-Temperature Stable Charging lets it operate across a 0°C to 40°C range, which should suit Australian summers without any drama.\n\nNavigation has been fully overhauled with NarMind Pro Autonomous System 2.0.\n\nA new visual language model (VLM) enables unlimited object recognition, while TrueColor 3D Mapping replaces the 2D system of the previous generation.\n\nThe Flow 2 can identify and avoid more than 200 real-world objects, with five obstacle avoidance strategies plus dedicated Pet Mode, Baby Care Mode and AI FloorTag for automatic floor surface detection.\n\nIt is compatible with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri.\n\nOn paper, the Flow 2 improves on every spec that made the original so good. Whether it translates to a real-world clean as convincing as the first generation is something I'm keen to test.
