"textContent": "After decades of fighting it, Dyson has finally launched a vacuum product that uses bags.\n\nIt's not quite what you think though. Alongside its new V10 Konical cordless vacuum cleaner, Dyson has announcedan auto-empty dock (which Dyson calls its \"Auto-empty Dok\"). The bag is used in the base station to capture dust after every clean, so you don't have to manually empty the Konical's dustbin.\n\nThat means the Auto-empty Dok is really the centrepiece of the product, transferring debris into a sealed 2.5L bin liner that can hold up to 60 days of dirt before you need to touch it.\n\nWhile the vacuum itself remains bagless, the dock uses a fully sealed HEPA filtration system to ensure that fine particles and allergens are trapped during the transfer process. This makes it a meaningful upgrade for those who prioritise air quality and general cleanliness.\n\n> Dyson’s Head of New Product Development for Floorcare, Asaph Ooi, said the dock was engineered to solve a real daily frustration for users. \"Emptying a vacuum bin is messy and inconvenient. Dust escapes, allergens linger, and it interrupts the cleaning process,\" Ooi said.\n\n### A more powerful V10\n\nThe V10 Konical vacuum itself has received several hardware updates over the original model, including a 30% increase in suction power, reaching 150 Air Watts. It also features a significant jump in battery life, offering a 60-minute runtime to help cover larger floor plans in one go.\n\nA new de-tangling conical cleaner head is included, which uses a specific internal shape to prevent long hair and pet fur from wrapping around the brush bar. This is paired with green laser-like illumination (like that found in the PencilVac Fluffycones) that makes microscopic dust visible on hard floors, ensuring you don't miss spots in low-light areas.\n\nThe entire machine now utilises a five-stage HEPA filtration system. Dyson claims this setup captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns, which includes common bacteria and viruses.\n\n### Upgrading your existing setup\n\nIn a move that helps those already in the Dyson ecosystem, the Auto-empty Dok is backward compatible. If you currently own a Dyson V8 Cyclone, you can purchase the dock separately to add self-emptying capabilities to your current machine.\n\nIn addition, accessories for the V8 and V10 ranges are interchangeable. This allows long-time users to keep using their favourite specialised tools without having to purchase them again for the new system.\n\n## Pricing and availability\n\nThe Dyson V10 Konical is priced at $799, while the Dyson Auto-empty Dok is priced at $299.\n\nThe V10 Konical is available in Australia now, with the Auto-empty Dok available for purchase separately in Australia later this year.\n\n### Latest vacuum deals",
