Last year's Shark FlexBreeze Fan is a perfect example, with its detachable stand and optional water spray attachment.\n\nThis year, Shark has launched its TurboBlade fan in Australia. This bladeless fan is designed to pivot from a vertical van to a horizontal bar, able to push air over 20 metres and oscillate up to 180 º.\n\nIts killer feature though is designed to solve the problem of a hot Australian Summer night. Air Blanket Mode is designed to create a gentle breeze to help you sleep at night without having to keep the air conditioner running all night.\n\nThe TurboBlade comes in white or charcoal finishes, and Shark reckons its sculptural design will look good in any room. I'm inclined to agree... it's certainly sleeker than your typical tower fan, and the bladeless design means it's safe for homes with kids and pets.\n\nYou can twist the vents of the fan in multiple directions, switch between 10 different speed settings, and pivot the entire unit to direct airflow exactly where you need it.\n\nThe bladeless design isn't just about aesthetics, either. Shark's DustDefense technology captures particles, and the wipe-clean surface means you won't be wrestling with a screwdriver to clean dusty blades every few months.
