"textContent": "The Sennheiser Momentum 4 is one of the most highly regarded pair of noise-cancelling headphones I haven't had the chance to test yet. But Sennheiser may have just made them obsolete with the launch of its HDB 630.\n\nThe HDB 630 is built around the chassis of the Momentum 4, but turns that up to 11 with a customised acoustic system, powered by a 42 mm transducer, 60 hours of battery life and adaptive noise cancellation.\n\nThe key differentiator is the high-resolution digital audio engine that handles music up to 24-bit, 96 kHz resolution over USB Type-C or 3.5 mm analogue cable.\n\nFor wireless listening, Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive codec support is supported, complete with a USB Type-C transmitter dongle that brings high-resolution wireless audio capability to 80% of smartphone models.\n\nThe headphones feature an impressive array of tuning tools for audiophiles. A parametric equaliser allows users to boost and cut specific frequencies with adjustable bandwidth controls and filter types, inspired by Sennheiser's flagship HE 1.\n\nA crossfeed feature blends left and right channels for a speaker-like presentation, which can reduce listener fatigue from hard-panned mixes. Users can share their favourite presets through the app, with QR code sharing coming in a future update.\n\nThe 42 mm dynamic transducer was manufactured at Sennheiser's Tullamore facility in Ireland and features acoustic treatments designed for neutral reproduction. Sennheiser states the tuning delivers smooth midrange, clear vocals and accurate dynamics that remain true to the original recording.\n\nThe HDB 630 features a lightweight design with a Japanese Protein Leatherette headband from IDEATEX, selected for comfort and durability. The sealed design with adaptive noise cancellation minimises ambient noise, while integrated microphones handle voice calls and transparency mode.\n\nBattery life extends to 60 hours per charge, with quick-charge capability delivering 7 hours of listening time in just 10 minutes. The headphones ship with a protective travel case, USB Type-C charging cable, 3.5 mm analogue audio cable, airline adapter, and USB Type-C Bluetooth transmitter.\n\n## Availability and Pricing\n\nThe Sennheiser HDB 630 will be available to pre-order or purchase in Australia from Tuesday, 21 October 2025, priced at $999 AUD. The headphones can be ordered via Sennheiser's official online store, as well as through JB Hi-Fi, Amazon, Harvey Norman, and select independent audio specialists.\n\n### Latest headphone deals\n\n* * *",
