"textContent": "One of the hardest lessons of adulthood is that the nice things you buy will almost always end up stained or damaged. Shark's new StainForce cordless stain remover will help with the first category at least.\n\nThe Shark StainForce is a cordless, handheld spot cleaner designed to tackle messes the moment they happen.\n\nUnlike traditional carpet cleaners that require heavy lifting and constant trips to the sink, this unit uses a \"grab and go\" design with no tanks to fill or outlets to find. It builds on the design of the Shark StainStriker, which I still argue is one of the best-named products of the decade.\n\nAt just over 1kg, the StainForce is light enough to carry from the lounge room to the car. It uses a dual-formula spray that activates on contact, which Shark claims provides up to 30 times more stain-fighting power than their standard cleaning solutions alone.\n\nThe cleaning process is straightforward: you suction up any initial liquid, spray the area to saturate the stain, and then use the built-in scrub tool to lift the mess.\n\nThere's a dedicated crevice tool in the box, making it much easier to reach into the tight gaps of sofa cushions or car seats where crumbs and spills usually hide.\n\nWhile it's always nice to be able to clean up the mess itself, the worst part generally comes when you have to clean up the cleaning appliance. So I particularly like the inclusion of a \"self-cleaning\" mode here.\n\nAfter you’ve finished cleaning a mess, you can rinse the internal components with fresh water, ensuring the machine doesn't develop unpleasant smells between uses.\n\n## Pricing and availability\n\nThe Shark StainForce (HX100ANZ) is available now for an RRP of $249.",
