Konami, previously mentioned for its record growth, has launched a massive, limited-time collaboration themed around Naruto Shippuden for the popular football game eFootball. With this crossover, favorite characters from the popular shounen anime are stepping onto the pitch.

Imagine being able to use Rasen Shuriken or Chidori while playing football. Even think about celebrating a goal with Naruto or summoning Sasuke’s Susano’o onto the field. It might sound crazy, but this has all become possible with this new collaboration. Some real-life footballers in the game have received special effect cards that match characters from the Naruto universe.

For example, Neymar Jr. is paired with the iconic Naruto Uzumaki , and not just the main characters, but Akatsuki members have also been included in the game.

eFootball Naruto Special Cards and Effects

This special campaign has already begun and will continue until May 14, 2026. During this period, you can earn many different rewards by participating in various events.

Here is the full list of cards added to the game:

Main Side:

  • Neymar Jr. – Naruto
  • Takefusa Kubo – Sasuke
  • Martin Ødegaard – Shikamaru
  • Robert Lewandowski – Kakashi

Akatsuki Side:

  • Rafael Leão – Deidara
  • Alexis Saelemaekers – Pain (Nagato)
  • Christian Pulisic – Obito (Tobi)
  • Luka Modrić – Itachi

Some cards, like Naruto and Sasuke, feature unique visual effects inspired by the characters' signature techniques (jutsu). Additionally, special crossover celebrations are triggered when you score a goal.

In addition, Epic Worldwide cards featuring names such as Gareth Bale, Marcelo, and Aubameyang are also offered as part of this collaboration. Other rewards you can earn from the event include giant models of Kyubi and Susano’o, stadium choreographies featuring Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, special goal and kickoff projections, and login bonuses.

An important detail to keep in mind is that most of the Challenge Event rewards will not be accessible until May 7, 2026.

Beyond player cards and cosmetics, the stadium has also been updated with Naruto-themed decorations. With Shippuden character banners and statues, you will feel as if you are playing a match in the Hidden Leaf Village.

What makes this collaboration truly fun is seeing real footballers alongside Naruto characters and them mimicking their poses in the trailer. For instance, Robert Lewandowski striking Kakashi's iconic poses has generated significant interest in the community.
