Conan Exiles Enhanced Announced: Coming for Free

Funcom has announced Conan Exiles Enhanced , a massive overhaul package for the popular survival game Conan Exiles. This update, which will be released completely free of charge on May 5, serves as a gift for the game's eighth anniversary. The developer team promises dramatically improved visuals, increased performance, and modern rendering technologies.

Conan has been the heart of Funcom for nearly twenty years, and with the new Enhanced upgrade, Conan Exiles continues to strengthen its legacy in video games. We know that such upgrades are usually sold for a fee or offered as a separate product; however, we wanted to offer this for free to our past, present, and future fans as an anniversary gift and a token of appreciation for their support.\n

This new 'version' of Conan Exiles was prepared in collaboration with Inflexion Games , bringing the game into the world of Unreal Engine 5. In the statement about the partnership, it was noted that updating a beloved game with new technologies, materials, shaders, and quality of life (QoL) improvements creates a new foundation for the adventures of the next decade.

Conan Exiles Enhanced will offer stable 60+ FPS gameplay, increase performance on handheld consoles, and create a much deeper atmosphere for both new players and veteran fans.

This free update, coming to Steam on May 5, will also allow players who own the expansion packs to travel freely between the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah. Additionally, players will now be able to create multiple characters per account and enjoy a completely revamped user interface (UI).

The Funcom team also shared the good news that your progress in the main game will be transferred to the new version, the game's file size has been reduced by a full 80 GB , mod support will be available from day one, and crafting and building mechanics have been overhauled.
