According to the leak, the game will feature brand-new content in addition to the original story.

However, the most noteworthy part was the information found in the summary section of the Black Flag Remake. The leaked summary confirms that the game will arrive in 2026 and will contain new story elements.

New Characters and Stories Are Coming

According to details shared on X (formerly Twitter), the game's summary states that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced 'brings a breath of fresh air to the experience while staying true to the spirit of the original.' The most crucial point is this sentence: 'Modernized for 2026, the new game features a cast of new characters and new stories.'

The full leaked description is as follows:

'This production brings a breath of fresh air to the fan-favorite game while meticulously staying true to the spirit of the original. It follows the adventures of the charismatic pirate and Assassin Edward Kenway in the 18th-century Caribbean, as he pursues parkour in cities and fortune and glory at sea. Modernized in 2026, the new game contains new characters and stories.'

As you may recall, Ubisoft officially confirmed the name Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced last month. Previous Black Flag Remake leaks also indicated that the game would not be just a visual upgrade, but would include RPG elements and new mechanics.
