GTA Online Earns More Than $1 Million Daily
Hackers have leaked financial data allegedly belonging to Rockstar Games , revealing that GTA Online generates a staggering average daily revenue of $1 million.
Although it has been almost 13 years since GTA 5 hit the shelves, the game's online mode continues to deliver an incredible performance. Kept alive with regular new updates, the production remains a total 'cash cow' for the developers, according to the leaked data.
On April 11, the group ShinyHackers claimed to have gained access to Rockstar Games ' private files. Shortly after, a data breach was confirmed following confirmation from Rockstar Games. Although it was initially thought that new leaks about GTA 6 would arrive, the hackers instead shared various confidential data containing the company's financial statements.
GTA Online Earns More Than $1 Million Daily
The leaked data covers the income statement between September 2025 and April 2026. During this period, GTA Online is seen recording an average weekly revenue of $9,592,109. While the figures vary from week to week, it is claimed that this ten-year-old open-world game earned $27,889,761 in its best week of the year. Average figures show that the game pockets approximately $500 million annually.
According to the data, the lion's share of this revenue comes from Shark Cards sales, with a weekly average of $7,328,653. GTA+ subscriptions contribute $2,262,725 weekly. Although GTA Online offers various gifts to players to keep the community alive, the main income comes from these microtransactions.
In an average week, more than 9 million players step into the streets of Los Santos. However, only 393,402 (approximately 4%) of these players actually reach into their pockets. This means a very small part of the player base is a massive source of income for Rockstar.
Looking at it by platform, the PS5 community is the largest source of revenue, with a weekly average of $4,486,346. It is followed by Xbox Series X , while the PC platform ranks last, falling even behind the PS4 and Xbox One communities.
Of course, none of this data has been confirmed by Rockstar or parent company Take-Two Interactive , so it is worth approaching the information with caution.
