Date of Next Xbox Games Showcase Leaked

NateTheHate, a reliable industry insider, has shared new information about when the next Xbox Games Showcase event might take place. According to claims, this event will also host the first announcement of the highly anticipated Metro 2039.

Responding to Jez Corden's claim that a small Xbox presentation would be held next week, Nate stated that the show would take place on Thursday, April 16. He also added that this presentation would be the venue where Metro 2039, said to be the fourth main game in the Metro series, will be announced.

As in the PlayStation State of Play leak news shared previously, Nate emphasized once again that the April 16 date has not yet been officially confirmed. Furthermore, it is not yet clear what branding Microsoft will use for this presentation (Developer_Direct, etc.).

The Microsoft show will broadcast on April 16th & is the venue of choice for the Metro 2039 reveal. I don't know the branding of the show.

What is Known About the New Metro Game

A 120 GB data dump leaked recently revealed details about a fourth Metro game, which was thought to have been shelved by 4A Games in 2022. According to leaks, this version follows the story of the Metro 2034 book and fully brings back the character Hunter.

Additionally, the game is said to offer a vast open world covering both the Metro tunnels and the surface world. As previously shared regarding the new Metro game announcement, these reports were first put forward by @AlexandreNGamR on Twitter.
