The user stated, “For those who love the series like I do, a new Metro game is expected to be announced next week.” Furthermore, reliable leaker NateTheHate responded to a comment on this post with “this is true” and stated in a separate thread that the rumors of an announcement next week have “merit.”

Considering the main game, Metro Exodus , was released in 2019, it has been quite a while since we've seen a new Metro game.
