According to new information leaked from the industry, the GPU power of the eagerly awaited PlayStation 6 handheld console could surpass Microsoft 's current generation console, the Xbox Series S.

Previous claims regarding the PlayStation 6 handheld console indicated that the device would feature impressive memory capacity and a dockable design. Now, a new leak reveals the device's power against Xbox's current consoles and the Nintendo Switch 2.

According to information shared by KeplerL2 on the NeoGaf forums, the PS6 handheld console's GPU is slightly ahead of the Xbox Series S in 'Raster' performance. However, the real difference emerges in technologies such as Ray Tracing and Path Tracing ; according to the leak, the handheld console surpasses the Series S by a 'massive' margin in these areas.

When asked if PSSR3 technology would be better than the Switch 2 's image upscaling technology, the insider information is quite ambitious: 'Switch 2 only uses DLSS 2 (CNN) and some games even prefer the lower DLSS Lite version. FSR5/PSSR3 will offer better image quality than even the current DLSS 4.5.'

The other technical details of the device, which was leaked under the codename 'PS6 Canis' in August 2025 and is expected to have a high memory capacity of 24 GB, are listed as follows:
