PUBG: Blindspot Throws in the Towel in Early Access

PUBG: Blindspot has come to an end after a short adventure that lasted just a few months. The game's early access process will be completely terminated in the coming days.

As a 5v5 team-based, top-down tactical shooter, PUBG: Blindspot had drawn attention with its fast pace and strategy-focused combat. As you may recall, the game was announced with high hopes in previous months.

The title, which opened for early access on February 5, unfortunately failed to gain traction in the market. The development team announced that the game will be officially shut down on March 30.

Farewell Statement from PUBG: Blindspot Developers

Sequoia Yang from ARC Team confirmed in an update shared on Steam that the early access process will end on Monday, March 30. It was stated that the team tried every way to improve the player experience, but ultimately concluded that they could not provide the targeted experience in a sustainable way.

Yang stated in the announcement: “We know this is not the result many of you hoped for. PUBG: Blindspot was a bold step to explore new possibilities in the top-down tactical shooter genre. The feedback and support we received from our players throughout this journey were invaluable to us and will continue to shed light on our future development work.”

The statement concluded with the words, “We are grateful to everyone who believed in the game and supported our vision. As ARC Team , we will take a break to rest and recover, and we hope to return with new experiences in the future.”

Although this side project from Krafton did not see the expected interest, the company's work on other projects such as PUBG Black Budget continues at full speed. We will continue to share new details regarding the closing process of PUBG: Blindspot as they become available.
