Game Pass Package Consisting of Xbox Studios Games is on the Way
A new Xbox Game Pass tier may be on the way. Moreover, this package might have a different structure from everything Microsoft has previously offered to its service subscribers.
First spotted by Twitter user redphx and reported by Windows Central, this potential new tier is codenamed 'Trion.' The most distinguishing feature is the game library it offers.
According to leaked data, this package seems to include only first-party games under the Xbox Studios umbrella. Games revealed through data mining include:
- DOOM Eternal
- Dishonored 2
- Fable Anniversary
- Fallout 4
- Fallout 76
- Gears 5
- Halo 5
- Halo Wars 2
- Hellblade
- Ori and the Blind Forest
- State of Decay 2
- The Elder Scrolls Online
New Xbox Game Pass Tiers May Be Coming
Hearing about new subscription models for Xbox Game Pass is not actually surprising. Now, there is talk that Xbox is considering reintroducing lower-priced options for players. There are also rumors that an ad-supported tier might be added for Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Under new CEO Asha Sharma, Xbox's goal is to make future consoles and products like Game Pass more 'attractive' for more players. However, exactly how Xbox will achieve this is not yet clear.
We already knew that Microsoft had high profit expectations from Xbox; this new package move could be part of this strategy. Still, as with every leak, it is useful to approach this information with caution until an official statement is made. However, it seems that big changes are awaiting us on the Xbox front in the near future. The real question is: will these moves be enough to get things back on track?
