Sony Announces Price Hike for PlayStation 5
Rumors about a significant price increase for PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal consoles had been circulating; this price hike has now been officially announced.
Sony has announced that prices for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal will increase starting April 2.

According to a post published today on the PlayStation blog, it was announced that “due to ongoing pressures in the global economic environment, we have decided to increase the prices of PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal remote player devices worldwide.”
The changes will take effect from April 2, and there will be significant price increases for all PS5 and PlayStation Portal hardware, varying from region to region.

- PS5: $549.99 → $649.99
- PS5 Digital Edition: $499.99 → $599.99
- PS5 Pro: $749.99 → $899.99
- PlayStation Portal: $199.99 → $249.99
United Kingdom
- PS5: £479.99 → £569.99
- PS5 Digital Edition: £429.99 → £519.99
- PS5 Pro: £699.99 → £789.99
- PlayStation Portal: £199.99 → £219.99
Europe
- PS5: €549.99 → €649.99
- PS5 Digital Edition: €499.99 → €599.99
- PS5 Pro: €799.99 → €899.99
- PlayStation Portal: €219.99 → €249.99
Japan
- PS5: ¥79,980 → ¥97,980
- PS5 Digital Edition: ¥72,980 → ¥89,980
