The Battlefield communications team has shared an important update regarding Battlefield Hardline.

According to the official announcement made on March 23, 2026, Battlefield Hardline will no longer be supported on Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Starting Friday, May 22, 2026, the game will be removed from digital stores and players will no longer be able to make purchases on these consoles. Additionally, online services for both old-generation consoles will be permanently shut down one full month later, on Monday, June 22, 2026.

PC Players Will Not Be Affected by This Decision

The announcement also emphasized that this news does not affect PC players and that the game will remain available for purchase for PC. Online services on the PC platform will also continue to operate without any interruption.

Released globally in March 2015 on all platforms, including PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game managed to sell over 1 million copies in its first week. Battlefield Hardline sold a total of over 8 million copies during its time on the market.

With the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series generation now fully established and new-generation console concepts frequently being discussed, this move from Electronic Arts is effectively keeping pace with the times.
