"textContent": "On March 19, we learned that **Ubisoft** had terminated the game development process at **Red Storm Entertainment**. **Red Storm Entertainment** , a studio with nearly 30 years of history, is the name behind legendary series such as **Rainbow Six** and **Ghost Recon**.\n\nThe studio, which has been under **Ubisoft** since 2000, continued to develop these series until the early 2010s. Afterward, the team, which focused more on VR games, was working on the famous **The Division Heartland** before it was canceled.\n\nHowever, it was not just what was announced to the public; the studio was working on at least 10 different projects during the layoffs. According to information shared in the latest episode of Insider Gaming Weekly, **Red Storm** was actually a 'savior' studio that **Ubisoft** turned to when it was really in need. It seems that this need was quite high.\n\nWhen the decision to shut down was made, **Red Storm** was conducting the following projects for **Ubisoft** :\n\n * **Rainbow Six Siege** seasonal content\n * The new main **Ghost Recon** game, now known as **Project OVR**\n * **Brawlhalla**\n * **Beyond Good & Evil 2**\n * A small-scale **Rainbow Six** game codenamed **Slice & Dice**\n * **Splinter Cell**\n * **The Division 2** audio work\n * **The Division 3** concept work\n * **Watch Dogs Director’s Cut** support\n * Another unannounced project in the concept phase\n\n\n\nWith the closure of the game department, **Red Storm** will now serve as a global IT and **Snowdrop** engine support studio. Additionally, **Ubisoft** is expected to make more belt-tightening moves in the coming weeks.\n\nWhat do you think about the end of **Red Storm** 's game development journey and the fact that more than 100 people are unemployed? Don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments.\n\n**Source:**\n\nhttps://insider-gaming.com/red-storm-working-10-games-mass-layoffs/\n\n_For the latest_ gaming guides_and_ system requirements_, you can follow GamingAlly on_ Instagram_,_ Twitter_and Google News._",
