In this regard, the manufacturer will change the design of the console so that users can replace the Switch 2 battery effortlessly without needing any technical service. If this awareness increases in other regions, it is expected that the same version will come to the American and Japanese markets.

The European Union announced in 2023 that all handheld consoles must have replaceable batteries by 2027. Although the original Switch is not affected as it was released before this date, it is a requirement for the new generation console, which is expected to remain on the market after 2027, to comply with these rules. Otherwise, Nintendo may face a sales ban in the European market. Players will need to wait a little longer for the official announcement.

On the other hand, THQ Nordic , the publisher of games such as Titan Quest 2, announced that it would bring many new titles to the Switch family.
