LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming sooner than planned, bringing excitement to players. The game will be available on May 22, 2026, one week earlier than originally scheduled.

Although the release is still months away, the details shared so far have already excited the community. This title, which will be revolutionary for the LEGO Batman series , will feature over 100 iconic costumes, and its open world will be even larger than Arkham Knight. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Releases on May 22

The initially announced release date for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was May 29, 2026. However, a new announcement on official social media accounts stated that the date has been moved to May 22, 2026. This also means that the early access date for Deluxe edition owners has been moved up; those who purchase this edition will be able to don their capes starting May 19.

If you are thinking of buying the game, remember that you will receive 'The Dark Knight Returns' Batman costume as a pre-order bonus. The game has two different versions: the Standard version containing only the base game, and the Deluxe version which covers many DLC contents coming after launch.

With the Deluxe edition, players will gain access to the Legacy Collection , which includes the Arkham Trilogy, Batman Beyond, and Party Music packs. Also included in this package is the Mayhem Collection , planned for release in September 2026. This collection will bring playable characters like Joker and Harley Quinn, a new story mission, and the Mayhem mode. Players will also have the Sinister pack and 3 days of early access.

Looking at other news from the Batman world, IO Interactive's new game 007 First Light draws inspiration from the Batman: Arkham and Uncharted series for its combat mechanics.
