Fallout: Chicago Demo and New Trailer Released
We are living through really busy days for Fallout fans. Just last week, we watched the trailer for one of the most ambitious mods prepared for New Vegas, Fallout: The New West. Now, eyes have turned to another massive project, Fallout: Chicago. This DLC-sized expansion pack (yes, this is also a mod) aims to push the boundaries of New Vegas to a whole different level, and the development team has finally released the long-awaited demo to players.
MadMailMan Studios released the new demo for Fallout: Chicago on Nexus Mods today. Players hungry for fan-made content looking for new adventures in the New Vegas world can experience this demo on the PC platform starting now. This demo has created great excitement in the community as it arrives about a year and a half after the project's first announcement.
What is Fallout: Chicago?
Fallout: Chicago is a DLC-sized and highly ambitious mod project developed for the legendary 2010 game Fallout: New Vegas. The released trailer gives clues about what players will encounter in this dark and dangerous atmosphere:
You will try to solve pre-war mysteries and get involved in post-war politics between factions like The Union Mob and the Midwest Brotherhood. Chicago is a dangerous place full of betrayals; will you be able to complete your mission and get out alive? Remember, this was actually just supposed to be a simple side job.
Today, fan-made mods offer some of the deepest and most innovative experiences in the Fallout universe. As you may recall, the United West team recently released a playable prologue for the Fallout: The New West project, which even caught the attention of Chris Avellone , one of the legendary writers of New Vegas. As the excitement for Fallout Season 2 continues, such community projects continue to keep the series alive.
Here is the demo trailer released for Fallout: Chicago:
This demo, which you can access via Nexus Mods, covers the entire first act (Act 1) of the mod. It includes three main side quests and a series of activities to do:
- Drug trafficking
- Owning a business
- Player homes (and customization options)
- A completely new map based in Chicago
- Four new factions
And much more awaits players. Chicago has a very important place in the Fallout universe. In addition to being home to groups like the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave, it was also once the home of Nick Valentine, one of the most beloved characters in Fallout 4.
If you miss this post-apocalyptic atmosphere and are looking for new content while waiting for official announcements like the Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Bundle, you should definitely give Fallout: Chicago a try.
