The Division 2 Player Count Increased by 400%

Ubisoft's sharing of a robust roadmap for The Division 2 extending until 2026 has led to a massive increase in player count on Steam. Before the series' tenth-anniversary celebrations, the concurrent player count, which was around 3,500 on Steam, reached 18,393 in the last 24 hours, breaking its all-time record.

This 400% increase in just a few days is the clearest indicator of how excited fans are for the future of The Division 2. It seems the 2026 roadmap has managed to bring players back to the streets of Washington.

The Division 2 is Soaring in 2026

The Division 2 had never reached a very large audience on the Steam platform; the main reason for this was that the vast majority of PC players preferred Ubisoft 's own store and launcher. It has been more than three years since the 2019-released MMO-based tactical shooter came to Valve's platform, and the highest figure it had seen in that process was 14,000 for a short time.
