"textContent": "The developer behind **Until Dawn Remake** , **Ballistic Moon** , has officially been dissolved. With documents submitted to the UK government, the studio's closure was confirmed as of February 2026 (UTC).\n\nWe previously reported in March 2025 (UTC) that the studio had “effectively closed.” This followed layoffs announced in September 2024 (UTC). As you may recall, in our news about Until Dawn Remake studio closing, we shared the precursors to this process and the difficult situation the studio was in.\n\nThe **Until Dawn** remake was released in October 2024 (UTC). By December (UTC), the studio had quietly laid off the remaining staff it had kept to support the game post-launch. The game's Metacritic score is currently at 70, and unfortunately, this project remains the team's only published work.\n\nThe studio was founded in 2019 by former **Supermassive Games** employees Duncan Kershaw, Neil McEwan, and Chris Lamb. Neither **Sony** nor **Ballistic Moon** has issued an official statement regarding the studio's closure.\n\n## The Industry Continues to Shake\n\nThis challenging period in the gaming world is not limited to Ballistic Moon. **Electronic Arts** announced new layoffs at its Battlefield studios. Similarly, Highguard, under Wildlight Entertainment, is also closing its doors this week.\n\nFrench gaming giant **Ubisoft** is also undergoing a major restructuring recently. The company's cancelled games and delayed projects have become one of the biggest examples of the general contraction in the industry. It appears that early 2026 (UTC) will not be very bright for game studios either.\n\n_For the latest_ _gaming guides_ _and_ _system requirements_ _, you can follow GamingAlly on_ _Instagram_ _,__Twitter_ _and Google News._",
