History of The Elder Scrolls Online

First released on PC in April 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online has remained active for over 12 years. The game also took its place on current-generation consoles in 2021. In 2025, developers stated they were working on technical changes and discussed activating the cross-play feature between various platforms.

The game has actually been in development for nearly 20 years, since 2007. While fans of the series continue to wait for Elder Scrolls 6, TES Online continues to offer a stable experience.
