MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Release Delayed to April
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a story-driven first-person shooter. One of the game's most striking features is its black-and-white art style inspired by 'rubber-hose' animation. MOUSE is one of several projects that began development after the Steamboat Willie version of Mickey Mouse entered the public domain.
In October 2025, a short behind-the-scenes documentary covering the development process of MOUSE was released. The documentary debuted during the ID@Xbox Fall showcase.
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Release Date Delayed
The game was originally scheduled to be released on March 19. However, developer Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide issued a joint statement announcing that the game will now be released on April 16. The delay was attributed to the need for additional time to ensure the game's quality.
The statement read, 'As we approach the final stages of development, we want to take the extra time and care necessary to ensure that MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a memorable experience. We are committed to delivering the best game possible, and this will only take a few more weeks.'
