As I wrote on Tuesday, it is clear that the stockmarket market has had its best days this year. I do not know how long this distress will last, or indeed if it will get worse from here. When that is the case, it is right to reduce risk and raise cash. If things get worse, that offers protection, and if they improve, the cash can be reinvested into new themes.
