The event will be held on **Thursday, 18 June at 6:30pm** at **Quaker Meeting House, 16 Queens Road, Leicester**. That's just two week away! Add it to your calendar!\n\nEarlier this year our journalists successfully forced Leicestershire Police to disclose their contract with notorious US tech firm Palantir. It was the culmination of 18-months of research, coverage and a lengthy battle through the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We'll tell you how all of this came about, how we structured our requests, and how you can put in requests yourself. We really love talking directly to our community about something we are obsessed with (getting documents from public bodies) and showing other people how to do it too.\n\nWe're filing FOI requests all the time, and now is a great opportunity to equip yourself with the tools to do the same.",
