Oribe has expanded its portfolio of luxury haircare products to cater to all hair types with the launch of its new Eternal Curls collection.
To celebrate the launch and spotlight the brand’s commitment to texture hair, Oribe hosted a special event on Tuesday, February 17 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto.
Nadia Mitro, marketing director for Oribe, welcomed attendees and introduced the collection of products.
“Eternal Curls is the name of our new collection, which used to be called Moisture and Control, but we’ve reimagined it now as Eternal Curls to include all curl types,” she says. “We wanted to take a deep dive into the conversation of curls and textured hair because it’s not done enough in our industry, and we really wanted to take the time and be intentional with this conversation.”
A fireside panel discussion followed, featuring celebrity hairstylist and Oribe ambassador Stacey Ciceron and Toronto-based beauty writer Ingrie Williams. The discussion focused on the trend of embracing natural texture and professional techniques for textured hair, along with the inspiration behind the Eternal Curls line.
Ciceron also shared her passion for texture education. “That’s my mission,” she says. “That’s why I’m here—everybody has their purpose and a way of doing things, and for me, it’s getting into those salons to educate on textured hair. The majority of the year I’m in salons teaching stylists how to care for and manage textured hair and how to use the products.”
Ciceron also addressed the common challenges that many hairstylists face in mastering all hair types. “In order for you to really be an expert or just be a master of your skill and your craft, you have to have a range of knowledge of all hair types,” she says. “It’s important to have the basic skills for all types, but I also think it’s good to choose a lane of expertise because it can be very overwhelming. So if you’re a hair colourist, for example, learn how to work with all curl types within colour. If you’re a haircutter, make sure that you learn how to cut hair with all curl patterns. Or if you’re a stylist, make sure that you can offer services for all curl types. I think it’s essential when we’re talking about inclusivity as well. Nobody is left out.”
The event concluded with demonstrations of the new Eternal Curls Polish & Protect Oil, which showcased its versatility and hydration benefits. The launch emphasized Oribe’s focus on innovation, education and inclusivity, equipping stylists with the knowledge and confidence to work with every type of curl.
