"textContent": "Riviera Travel is offering North American travel advisors entries toward a 2027 ASTA River Cruise Expo package, gift cards and a $3,000 bonus prize as part of Travel Advisor Appreciation Month in May 2026. The incentives are open to active, registered advisors in the U.S. and Canada and apply to 2026 and 2027 Riviera river cruises, yacht cruises and grand tours.\n\nRiviera began its 2026 river cruise season in late March with just under 200 departures planned.\n\n“During the month of May, we’re excited to celebrate our advisor partners, who have undoubtedly been a driving force in our growth throughout the North American market,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America at Riviera Travel. He said the ASTA prize also gives one advisor an opportunity for “learning and connection.”\n\n## ASTA package and booking rewards\n\nFor the first incentive, every paid deposit made from May 1 through May 31 on an eligible Riviera product earns one entry into a drawing for the 2027 ASTA River Cruise Expo. Riviera Explorer graduates receive double entries.\n\nThe winning advisor will receive a conference ticket, a deluxe balcony cabin and round-trip airfare for the Expo, which is scheduled for March 10-14, 2027, in Vienna. The event is expected to draw about 1,500 U.S.-based advisors and is focused on river cruise sales education, including ship visits, onboard sessions and networking with cruise executives and sales teams.\n\nA second incentive runs from May 4 through May 31, with advisors earning a $75 gift card for every new booking. The advisor who books the most passengers during the incentive period will receive a $3,000 bonus prize.\n\nTo qualify for rewards, advisors must complete Riviera Explorer before the promotion ends. The digital program includes six modules covering Europe’s major rivers, Riviera’s fleet, solo travel, group business, grand tours and travel components such as hotels, flights and transfers; completion takes about four to five hours.\n\nRiviera is also pairing the advisor push with traveler-facing offers, including up to 50 percent off 2026 and 2027 departures, as much as $1,500 in airfare and hotel credits and an additional $250 per person off 2026 sailings.\n\n## Other brands add May advisor programs\n\nRiviera’s promotion is part of a broader May calendar of advisor rewards across the cruise sector. AmaWaterways is offering a $200 e-gift card for new reservations on select Hot Dates sailings, bringing back its Sell 3, Sail Free offer and entering advisors who attend all four May webinars into a drawing for a seven-night European river cruise for two aboard AmaMagna.\n\nWindstar Cruises is giving advisors one entry toward a seven-day Dreams of Tahiti cruise for two for each client booking on a 2026 Windstar sailing made in May. The line is also paying a $100 bonus commission per stateroom on qualifying May bookings.\n\nAzamara is using the month to introduce a partnership with Approach Guides, giving advisors co-brandable marketing materials alongside incentives including up to $3,000 in gift cards for selling Veranda staterooms or higher. Norwegian Cruise Line is offering a 15th-anniversary Partners First sweepstakes, awarding 15 seven-day cruises in balcony staterooms for two.\n\n## Riviera expands solo inventory for 2026 and 2027\n\nAlongside the May advisor incentives, Riviera has expanded no-single-supplement availability on selected 2026 European river cruise departures, including The Blue Danube, Cruise the Heart of Europe, Rhine, Moselle & Medieval Germany, The Douro, Porto & Salamanca, and The Seine, Paris & Normandy. Solo travelers on those departures receive a double-occupancy cabin without paying a single supplement.\n\nRiviera’s next solo-focused ship, George Eliot, is scheduled to launch in June 2027 with departures on the Danube, Rhine and Moselle. Riviera said the vessel will be the world’s first dedicated solo ship.",
